"We are paying special attention to major energy projects that contribute to the security and stability of both states. One of the most important projects is the Belgrade–Timisoara highway, which would connect our two cities with a trip of only one hour, and this transport link would further solidify our ties and make life easier for citizens on both sides of the border," the President of Serbia emphasized.
He added that EU membership remains Serbia’s strategic goal.
"That is why we have clearly set the goal of completing all necessary reforms by the end of 2026, and we are grateful to Romania for supporting this process and for its willingness to share its expertise," the Serbian president wrote.
He expressed gratitude for Romania’s consistent and principled support for Serbia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as for its stance on not recognizing the unilaterally declared independence of Kosovo.

"That support is not only a matter of respecting international law, but also proof of the sincere friendship between our peoples," Vucic stressed.
The President of Serbia also expressed great satisfaction that Romania’s participation in EXPO 2027 has been confirmed, stating that this event is of crucial importance for the development of Serbia and the region.
