Nikola Tesla Film Festival Debuts in Las Vegas, Celebrating Innovation and Serbian-American Cultural Unity
In an extraordinary world premiere that is generating excitement across global film and tech communities, the first-ever Nikola Tesla Film Festival will debut on January 7 at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas.
This groundbreaking event brings the legendary name of Nikola Tesla into the world of cinema, honoring his genius while building a vibrant bridge between Serbian and American cultures.
The festival aims to spotlight Tesla’s enduring impact on modern civilization – from electricity to wireless transmission – using film as a powerful medium to introduce his legacy to new generations. Organizers describe the festival as a symbolic “cultural and creative revival of Tesla’s legacy,” a heartfelt tribute to a visionary whose ideas transformed humanity forever.

In addition to film screenings, the festival will award cash prizes and present winning filmmakers with a uniquely designed Tesla statue, adding a distinctive artistic and cultural value to the recognition.
What makes this initiative especially inspiring is that it is being led by a group of passionate young Serbian creatives working within the U.S. film industry, determined to showcase Tesla’s influence on innovation, imagination, and filmmaking.
The Serbian Film Association (SFA) announced today that Belgrade has been ranked among the five best film locations in Europe in the competition for the EUFCN Location Award 2025, an award that recognizes outstanding film locations and cooperation with international productions.
The festival welcomes submissions from filmmakers around the world, with free entry for students, encouraging young creators to share their visions and be part of this historic moment.
Full details, submission guidelines, and program information are available on the official website.
