Gallup: Young people in Serbia rank third among the happiest in the world
Finland has retained its title as the happiest country in the world, but it does not rank first among people under the age of 30. In that age group, Lithuania took first place, followed by Iceland in second and Serbia in third.
According to data collected by the Washington-based research team of the Gallup organization, Serbia achieved a high third position with a total of 7.658 index points, only slightly behind Israel (7.667) and Lithuania (7.759), while fourth-placed Iceland scored 7.598.
Denmark ranked fifth on the list with a score of 7.329. Other countries in the top ten where young people are the happiest include Luxembourg, Finland, Romania, the Netherlands, and the Czech Republic.

The report, which covers the period from 2021 to 2023, also shows that life-satisfaction ratings vary greatly between young and older people in many countries, and that in some parts of the world young people today are less satisfied than they were in the past.
Gallup interviewers asked respondents to evaluate their current life as a whole, where the best possible life is rated as 10 and the worst as 0.
