Angelina Topic won a bronze medal in the high jump at this year’s World Championships in Tokyo. During 2025, the Serbian athlete also claimed a silver medal at the European Indoor Championships, as well as a gold medal at the European U23 Championships.

Topic said that receiving recognition or an award is always a special feeling.

"I truly earned this award through immense work and effort, not only my own, but the work of the entire team. I am happy because this was something I could only dream of. Being the best in your discipline does not necessarily mean being the best athlete in Serbia, which shows how many high-quality athletes we have. Thank you for counting me among them," Topic said.

This year, Aleksandar Komarov became world champion in the Greco-Roman wrestling category up to 87 kilograms in Zagreb, and he also won a bronze medal at the European Championships.

Komarov thanked the organizers for the recognition, stating that it represents a great honor and source of pride for him.

"In a country of sport and great sporting names, this is a huge honor for me," Komarov said.

He also expressed gratitude to those who supported him, including his family, coach, club, the Wrestling Federation, the Ministry of Sport, and the Olympic Committee of Serbia.

The most successful Serbian athlete in team sports is 3x3 basketball player Strahinja Stojacic, while the most successful men’s team is the Serbian 3x3 basketball national team.

The "Bobana Momcilovic Velickovic" award for the most successful young Serbian athlete was presented to judoka Milan Bulaja.

The most successful coach was Vojislav Trajkovic of the Proleter Wrestling Club from Zrenjanin.

Special awards were presented to Nikola Jokic, Bozidar Maljkovic, and Djordje Visacki.

The "Olympic Heart" trophy was awarded to Zarko Zecevic.
