The company announced that the first deliveries are expected during the coming week.

NIS has been holding meetings regarding the procurement of crude oil since the approval of its operational license.

“The first quantities of crude oil are expected to be delivered to the Pancevo Oil Refinery during the coming week, while the company also plans to import additional volumes of crude oil,” NIS stated.

In line with the delivery schedule, NIS is also planning the start-up activities at the Pancevo refinery.

NIS recalled that production facilities at the Pancevo Oil Refinery were shut down in early December last year due to a lack of crude oil for processing, caused by sanctions imposed on NIS by the U.S. Department of the Treasury.

On December 31, the U.S. Department of the Treasury issued NIS a special license allowing the company to resume operational activities through January 23, 2026.

Previously, OFAC issued a license to Naftna Industrija Srbije extending the deadline for negotiations on the sale of the Russian stake until March 24, while the previous license had set the deadline for a change in the ownership structure at February 13.
