Film “Labyrinth of Tesla’s Mind” Receives Award at Las Vegas Festival
The experimental documentary film focuses on the relationship between humans and digital technologies, leading viewers through the labyrinth of the great Nikola Tesla’s mind in an effort to answer how revolutionary ideas have shaped our present reality and continue to shape our future.
The film festival, the first in the world ever dedicated to the great scientist Nikola Tesla, explores themes of invention, technology, human potential, and revolutionary ideas.
What makes this festival particularly inspiring is that it is led by a group of young and passionate Serbian creatives working in the American film industry, determined to highlight Tesla’s influence on innovation, imagination, and filmmaking.
The founder of the Nikola Tesla Film Festival, Katarina Bucevac, told Newsmax Balkans that the competition was strong.

“This year we had 150 films, and the competition was extremely intense when it came to deciding the best ones. There were ten categories, and as many as two awards are going to our beloved Serbia,” Bucevac emphasized.
Pushing the Boundaries of What Is Possible
The festival brings together filmmakers who, like Nikola Tesla, push the boundaries of what is possible.
In addition to short- and feature-length films, the festival also welcomes innovative projects that made use of artificial intelligence in their creation, recognizing new cinematic languages and contemporary tools that are shaping the future of creative expression.
The winner of the Best Actor Award, Bodzraj Hari, shared his impressions of the festival with Newsmax Balkans.
“The Nikola Tesla Festival has done so much. This was the first awards ceremony I attended in person, which was phenomenal. Having my film highlighted and winning this award has simply given the film a much greater scale for me. I hope it will be placed on platforms for other film festivals in the future,” he said.

Film Encourages Reflection on the Relationship Between Humans and Digital Technologies
At this film showcase, the work of Newsmax Balkans’ production was also recognized. The first experimental documentary produced by Newsmax Balkans, Labyrinth of Tesla’s Mind, received a special recognition at the Film Festival in Las Vegas, United States.

The story and screenplay were written by Vladimir B. Pavlović, who was also responsible for the set design, props, and digital prints.
Drawing on elements of childlike imagination as well as psychological, philosophical, and social allegory, the film encourages reflection on the reciprocal relationship between humans and digital technologies, including artificial intelligence algorithms.
Among its key messages is Tesla’s enduring influence on modern civilization, as well as his impact on generations to come.
