Darko Tusevljakovic Wins the NIN Award for the Novel “Karota”

The winner of the NIN Critics’ Award for the best novel of the year published in 2025 in the Serbian language is Darko Tusevljakovic for his work Karota, the jury announced at a ceremony held at the Kolarac Endowment.
The decision on the 72nd recipient of the NIN Award was made by a jury consisting of Aleksandar Jerkov (chair), Adrijana Marcetic, Jelena Mladenovic, Vladimir Gvozden, and Mladen Veskovic, who selected the winner from six novels shortlisted for the final round.
The shortlisted titles were Karota by Darko Tusevljakovic (Laguna), A Ballad of a Killer and a Killer and a Killer by Dalibor Pejic (Geopoetika), Frau Beta by Laura Barna (HERAedu), The Immortal Madness of Mrs. Kubat by Milan Tripkovic (Akademska knjiga, Novi Sad), Conversations with the Witch by Vladimir Vujovic (Sumatra), and The Abbey of Saint Bartholomew by Milos Perisic (No Rules Publishing).

Previously, in late December, the jury selected 39 novels for the longlist, which was then narrowed down to 13 in early January, and finally to six shortlisted novels.

DOKUMENTARNI PROGRAM-DEKADE-SRBI U TRSTU
Veliki broj Srba koji danas živi u Trstu jedna je od najorganizovanijih zajednica u tom gradu. Kroz svedočenja onih koji su došli još u vreme bivše Jugoslavije do onih koji su u Trst stigli bežeći od ratova na tlu Jugoslavije, nova epizoda DEKADA donose priču o dugoj istoriji i nasleđu koju su Srbi ostavili u tom gradu još od 18 veka. Od velikog broja palata, preko direktnog uticaja na ekonomski razvoj grada, Srbi u Trstu pamte dela svojih predaka i njihove kulturne tragove.
Skup u organizaciji studenata u blokadi, koji se pod sloganom "Ti i ja, Slavija, jer studenti pobeđuju" održava na Trgu Slavija u Beogradu, počeo je oko 18.20 obraćanjem predstavnice studentskog pokreta.
