Newsmax CEO Christopher Ruddy in Caracas: Trump Toppled the Venezuelan Regime Without an Invasion
Christopher Ruddy, CEO of the U.S. television network Newsmax, praised U.S. President Donald Trump during a visit to Caracas, calling him a "new great liberator".
Speaking to Newsmax journalist Rob Schmitt in front of the monument to Simon Bolivar, Ruddy stated that Trump had "toppled the regime" in Venezuela "without an invasion".
"We are here in the shadow of the great monument to Simon Bolivar, the great liberator. Now we have a new great liberator, Donald Trump, don't we? President Trump almost miraculously brought down the regime. He did it without an invasion, with just a single military strike", Ruddy said.
He added that local residents they spoke with in public squares and on the streets were enthusiastic about Trump's actions.
Commenting on recent developments in the country, Ruddy noted that everyday life in Caracas remains largely unchanged and that citizens are optimistic about the new leadership and the countr's future.
