President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic told Radio Television of Serbia (RTS) that postponement is never a solution to problems, noting that efforts to resolve the issue of NIS have been ongoing for a year.

However, he emphasized that it is positive news that the refinery in Pancevo continues to operate normally.
Vucic expressed hope that the local elections in 10 municipalities on March 29 would take place in a democratic atmosphere, adding that it is not in the citizens’ interest for unrest to occur.
"I believe everything will proceed peacefully and in good order", Vucic added during his appearance on RTS.
He thanked all citizens for their trust in the Republic of Serbia, especially during these times of crisis.
"Germany Is Rearming at the Fastest Pace in the World",
President Vucic stated that Germany is by far the fastest-rearming country in the world. He added that, regarding Serbia’s own military buildup, it would be better for the Germans to focus on their own affairs, rather than lecturing Serbia.
He made this remark while appearing on RTS, responding to the host’s comment that Croatia had announced the purchase of an air defense system from Israel, as a response to missiles Serbia acquired from China, as well as to a question about Deutsche Welle describing the situation as an arms race between the two countries.
"I take my hat off to them and admire them for it. They have the money; it’s their business, they can do as they wish. They will not soon be the fifth, sixth, fourth, or seventh army in the world. They will soon be the fourth by all measures, then the third, and frankly I’m not sure they will stop there, when it comes to conventional armaments. German investments are enormous, so they should mind their own business and tell us how they manage it. I truly admire them and congratulate them on it", Vucic pointed out.
"Caring for the Poor Is of Key Importance"
President Vucic emphasized that the state is considering five possible solutions to assist the poorest pensioners.
Starting May 5, citizens and businesses will be able to make payments in euros under the same conditions as in the Single Euro Payments Area (EU, Iceland, Norway, Liechtenstein, Switzerland, UK), enabling cashless euro transactions across Europe.
It has been 27 years since the beginning of the NATO bombing, and the consequences are still present, especially in the lives of people facing serious illnesses.
He noted that the goal is to protect the most vulnerable and that increasing pensions from 31,000 dinars to 35,000, 36,000, or 37,000 dinars is under consideration, though authorities are still evaluating how to address those already receiving 36,000 dinars.
"You can always do something with supplements, but we want to protect the poorest. To raise pensions from 31,000 to 35,000, 36,000, or 37,000", Vucic said.
"We Have More Reserves Than 75 percent of EU Countries"
Vucic stated that it is the state’s responsibility to ensure sufficient supplies of oil and gas, even when countries compete or restrict energy resources.
"They cut off each other’s oil and gas, that’s how it goes. If I tell citizens to save, they won’t save, I know my people. That’s why I’m not recommending anything. No one here will economize; it’s up to us to ensure they have enough. The state has secured its reserves, we have enough for 91 to 92 days. We have more reserves than 75 persent of EU countries", said President Aleksandar Vucic.
