In an interview for the program "Stav nedelje" (Viewpoint of the Week), Djuric welcomed the U.S. decision to grant the company MOL an additional two months to resolve the issue concerning NIS, emphasizing that "it is of exceptional importance for Serbia that, in cooperation with the U.S. administration, mechanisms have been found to protect Serbian national interests in the energy sector."
Speaking about current geopolitical developments, Djuric assessed that conflicts in Europe and global tensions are not good news for the continent, especially for small and medium-sized countries.
"Over the past year, we have maintained an intensive dialogue with the top levels of the U.S. administration, explaining Serbia’s position, and I believe we have succeeded in creating a positive climate that has historically existed between our countries", the minister said, adding that he believes this was "taken into account when the decision was made to extend supply licenses for the company NIS, which still has majority Russian ownership".
Djuric emphasized that he is proud, both as a former ambassador and now as foreign minister, to be working on improving Serbian-American relations, noting that it is in Serbia’s interest to strengthen its position in Washington, enhance instruments of cooperation, and elevate the role of the Serbian community in the United States.

The Special Department for Combating Corruption of the Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office in Belgrade has launched an investigation into a tragic incident that occurred Thursday evening at the Faculty of Philosophy, when the body of a young woman was found on the plateau in front of the building.
Speaking about the political dimension of relations, he assessed that there is a high level of alignment between Serbia and the administration of President Donald Trump on many ideological and value-based issues, as well as a shared need for pragmatic economic cooperation.
According to him, the fact that Serbia is an independent, sovereign, and proud country commands respect among a significant segment of the American political elite.
"It is no secret that Serbs in the United States overwhelmingly supported President Trump’s election and that he enjoys greater popularity in Serbia compared to other parts of Europe", Djuric said.
