Representatives of the Serbian List submitted an appeal to the Election Appeals and Complaints Panel in Pristina regarding the decision of the Central Election Commission (CEC) on the composition of election committees.
A statement published on social media stated that the appeal was filed due to an attempt by the CEC to prevent the Serbian List from participating equally in the election committees and monitoring the electoral process.
Igor Simic, Vice President of the Serbian List, warned that due to the CEC’s decision, the Serbian List would be unable to control the legality, legitimacy, and democratic nature of the elections scheduled for February 9th.
Simic stated at a press conference that Pristina is trying in every possible way to obstruct the Serbian List's participation in the elections, and that the main issue is the CEC’s decision regarding the composition of election committees at polling stations and in municipal centers for vote counting.
