He added that Milos Vucevic, as a responsible individual, believed he should resign.
"Milos has performed his duties well and has contributed to Serbia achieving the second-highest growth rate in 2024. He has always been loyal to his homeland and the Serbian state, fighting for his people. He has done nothing wrong. He has demonstrated that holding office is not more important to him than his principles," Vucic stated.
According to Vucic, once the resignation is confirmed, a 30-day period begins.
"If a government is not formed within that timeframe, elections will be called automatically. The president is obliged to initiate the process of selecting a new government. Ivica Dacic has expressed support for forming a new government. As for me, I am open to both options," he emphasized.
He further explained that the timeframe for an election campaign is between 45 and 60 days, making April elections a possibility.
Vucic also stated that he will not avoid consultations and assured that Serbia will maintain peace and stability.
