Kosovo Police Raids Social Work Centers in Leposavic, Kosovska Mitrovica, and Zvecan

The operations of these centers directly affect thousands of users of various social benefits.

Veton Eljsani, the Deputy Director of the Kosovo Police for the Northern Region, confirmed to Newsmax Balkans that the action was carried out at the request of the prosecution.

According to him, the operation was related to a case that occurred the day before the elections when four individuals were detained in Zubin Potok for illegal actions related to the elections.

"After the arrest of four officials from Zubin Potok for conditioning the voting, we requested from the prosecutor's office to allow control of these social work centers in order to uncover evidence that would prove illegal actions, which are considered document forgery," he stated.

Petar Petkovic, Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, announced that Albin Kurti has directly attacked the most sensitive and vulnerable categories of Serbs and continued his policy of violence against Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija.

"This concerns nearly 9,000 users of social assistance, child allowance, one-time assistance, and care for other individuals, for whom these benefits are vital," Petkovic stated.

The Serbian List condemned the "illegal intrusion of Albin Kurti's paramilitary police" in the strongest terms and emphasized that no employees or users of social benefits would be left without their entitlements.
