Zarko Micin is the new mayor of Novi Sad, citizens threw eggs and flour at the police

The opposition called on citizens to protest in front of the City Assembly, and citizens threw eggs, flour, and yogurt at the police, who pushed them away from the entrance.

Micin was elected by 45 councilors from the ruling coalition. Djuradj Jaksic, who had been the deputy mayor under the previous mayor Milan Djuric, was elected as the new deputy mayor, and the city councilors were also chosen.

The Novi Sad opposition stated that they do not recognize Micin's election as mayor.
