"As of today, given that we received confirmation from Montenegro this morning, we have 75 countries already registered and confirmed to participate in EXPO 2027 in Belgrade. We did not expect this for such a short period, just two months, but this is great news for all of us and for all citizens of Serbia," said Mali at the Kopaonik Business Forum.
He added that EXPO is the biggest developmental opportunity for our country in the coming period.
"We expect not only a record number of visitors, but we also expect to present ourselves to the world in the right way, and to use this period not just as Serbia, but as a region, to further improve our infrastructure, to raise the quality of life for Serbian citizens, to raise the standard of living, and to reach our goal of surpassing 100 billion euros in Serbia's GDP by 2027," said Mali.
The finance minister also announced that the Serbian Assembly would discuss the document on obtaining the first part of the assistance from Serbia’s Reform Agenda with the EU, amounting to 112 million euros.
