President of Serbia attended a session of the government, where, as he stated, the current security situation in the country and the region was discussed, especially security challenges in Kosovo and Metohija, and Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as all aspects of the protests on March 15th.
Aleksandar Vucic attended the session at the invitation of Prime Minister Miloš Vucevic and later highlighted on Instagram that at a time when the security situation in the Balkans is seriously shaken, Serbia is striving to maintain peace and stability, as well as the security of all its citizens.
The President added that the session also covered the impact of blockades on the economic situation. "We also reflected on the state of the economy in light of the ongoing protests, as well as the damage these events have caused, which is reflected in the reduction of investments and other challenges for the economy," said Vucic.
He emphasized that agreement was reached that it is of essential importance to take urgent measures to mitigate the consequences and support the economic sectors affected by these circumstances.
