Expansion of Newsmax Balkans in the Region: Objective Reporting as a Priority

Newsmax Balkans has a strong network of correspondents in Serbia, with reporting centers in Novi Sad, Nis, Kragujevac, Cacak, Zajecar, and Gracanica.

Zoricic emphasized that the expansion will not stop there, as the network plans to extend its coverage within Serbia and beyond.

"We also have plans for Albania, as well as the United States. We already have Antonije Kovacevic in Chicago, but perhaps Washington, D.C., would also be of interest," Zoricic stated on the program Stav dana, adding that opening additional correspondent offices outside the U.S. would also be valuable.

Antonije Kovacevic, Newsmax Balkans' correspondent in the U.S., highlighted that Newsmax has successfully built a reputation among American viewers over the past five years, securing its place in a highly competitive media landscape.

Speaking on behalf of the Newsmax Balkans center in Sarajevo, Boris Brezo described the programming as ambitious.

"We may not have a crane in the studio, but believe me, in terms of production quality – not just for Bosnia and Herzegovina but for the wider region – our set design can stand shoulder to shoulder with the best, if not surpass them," Brezo stated.

He emphasized that the Sarajevo team consists of a small but carefully selected group of professionals producing content daily.

Viewer and interviewee reactions have been overwhelmingly positive, which Brezo attributes to the network's commitment to providing a platform for all perspectives.

"There is room for everyone. If anyone is wondering whether external influences will affect our editorial policy, I can assure them that our policy is based on inclusivity, freedom, objective reporting, and presenting the facts on any topic or issue in our society," Brezo stressed.

Nemanja Živaljevic from the Podgorica newsroom noted that the most positive feedback has come from colleagues in other media outlets, who are impressed with Newsmax Balkans’ production quality.

"Currently, there are four people in the Podgorica bureau, and by Monday, we will have another team member joining us. These are professionals with years of experience in Montenegrin media. Our guiding principle remains objective journalism, ensuring all sides are heard in our coverage. Everyone is welcome, but we must not allow ourselves to be biased," Zivaljevic concluded.
