The Comtrade Belgrade Marathon continues to push boundaries. The 38th edition of Serbia’s largest sporting event will take place on Sunday, April 6, with more than 14,000 competitors.
The marathon and half-marathon races are scheduled to start at 8:00 AM in front of St. Mark’s Church, with the finish line at Terazije, near Hotel Moskva.
Darko Habus, Director of the Belgrade Marathon, expressed satisfaction with the growing number of participants eager to run through the streets of Serbia’s capital.
"We will have participants from 74 countries. Our database shows around 14,500 registered runners. Taking into account that 6–8% typically do not show up at the start, we can expect around 14,000 participants. Of this number, 2,000 will run the full marathon, 8,000 the half-marathon, and 4,000 will take part in the 10-kilometer race. The fun run will start at 1:00 PM and is open to all our fellow citizens," Habus stated.
A large number of people will be involved to ensure that the organization of this traditional running event remains flawless. The Belgrade Marathon is organized in cooperation with the Serbian Athletics Federation and with strong support from the City of Belgrade and the Ministry of Sport.
