Meeting Between Serbian Businesspeople and Donald Trump Jr, Vucic Hosts Dinner for the Son of the U.S. President
A meeting between Serbian businesspeople and Donald Trump Jr, the son of the U.S. President, was held in Belgrade, and Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic hosted a dinner for him.
"An excellent and open discussion between representatives of Serbian business and Donald Trump Jr. Thank you for your time and for giving us the opportunity to introduce you to some of our outstanding entrepreneurs," stated a post on the Instagram account of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia.
The President of the Chamber, Marko Cadez, said that 33 businesspeople and CEOs of domestic companies that employ more than 35,000 people were present at the event.
Cadez stated that the entrepreneurs had the opportunity to present their businesses and ongoing projects.
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic stated in a podcast with Donald Trump Jr. that Serbia has experienced significant economic development in recent years, maintains an independent and sovereign approach in international politics, but is also facing protests financed from abroad.
The Speaker of the National Assembly of Serbia, Ana Brnabic, stated that the visit of U.S. President Donald Trump’s son, Donald Trump Jr., was a strong and direct political message of respect for Serbia.
Among them were Veselin Jevrosimovic, owner of Comtrade and president of the "Privrednik" Business Club, as well as representatives of MK Group, Delta Holding, and Mikroelektronika—a company active on the U.S. market.
“They had the opportunity to speak with a person who is at the center of global developments and understands what is happening on world markets. It was a chance to hear some predictions and expectations regarding the global economy. What was especially interesting is that Trump Jr. was genuinely interested in hearing from each company individually about their work and the projects they are involved in. We talked about tourism, development, and other industries. He was intrigued to hear what is happening here. The idea behind the gathering was to present domestic companies,” said Cadez.
According to him, American companies are very interested in the IT sector, and Trump Jr. was also introduced to projects in real estate and tourism.
He also visited Belgrade during his father’s election campaign, at the end of September last year. Trump Jr. is an entrepreneur and executive vice president of the Trump Organization.
