The ruling Serbian Progressive Party wins local elections in Zajecar and Kosjeric

The Republic Electoral Commission (RIK) announced preliminary results for the local elections in Kosjeric on Monday.

With 100% of votes processed, the list "We Won't Give Up Serbia – Aleksandar Vucic" secured 3,686 votes (49.23%), earning 14 mandates.

The second-place list, United for Kosjeric, received 3,635 votes (48.54%), earning 13 mandates.

The remaining participating list, Russian Party – Serbia in BRICS – Slobodan Nikolic, garnered 48 votes and did not surpass the electoral threshold, as reported by RIK.

Rasa Nedeljkov, Program Director of CRTA, stated on Sunday evening that, according to preliminary results, the Serbian Progressive Party secured 27 mandates in Zajecar, while the opposition obtained 23.

He added that the most severe forms of irregularities were recorded at 17 percent of polling places.
