President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic met at the Palace of Serbia with multiple Olympic champion and record holder in sprinting events, Usain Bolt.

President of Serbia Meets Usain Bolt: Olympic Record Holder to Be EXPO 2027 Ambassador

The meeting was also attended by First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Sinisa Mali, and Director of the EXPO 2027 Belgrade enterprise, Dusan Borovcanin.

Vucic previously announced that the legendary athlete and multiple Olympic champion Usain Bolt would be one of the ambassadors of the specialized exhibition EXPO 2027, which will be held in Belgrade, emphasizing that this is a great achievement for Serbia.

President of Serbia said that Bolt’s arrival has elevated the promotion of EXPO to a spectacular level.

Bolt stated that he was honored to be invited to serve as an ambassador for the Expo.

"After the conversation I had with the President (Vucic) earlier, we discussed the expansion of all of this and how Serbia will continue to develop. Among other things, we talked about Belgrade Waterfront, that beautiful part of this city, and I’m glad to be part of it and to help introduce more people to the beauty of Serbia," Bolt told reporters at the Palace of Serbia.

Bolt noted that he has known about Serbia for many years, has good friends, and that Serbia has great athletes.

"It is truly a great honor for me to be here for the first time. I’m excited to present the EXPO to the whole world," said Bolt.

Usain Bolt is one of the most successful athletes in history, holding world records in the 100m and 200m since the 2009 World Championships in Berlin.

He is an eight-time Olympic gold medalist, an eleven-time world champion, and has also earned two silvers and one bronze at global championships.
