Russian Ambassador: The West Wants to Replace Vucic With a Weak Politician Controlled by the EU

He assessed that many countries in the region have formally independent leaders who, in reality, implement the will of Brussels. At the same time, individuals who are little known in their own countries are often brought to power.

Botsan-Kharchenko believes that the West also wants to draw Serbia into NATO, among other reasons to absolve itself of responsibility for the 1999 bombing.

According to him, the West aims to bring Serbia into the European Union, and this process usually goes hand in hand with NATO membership.

The Russian ambassador also emphasized that the Serbian leadership maintains a clear position of neutrality, which, he assessed, also provokes discontent in the West.
