Macut added that he particularly appreciates the OSCE’s support through cooperation in the areas of the rule of law, human rights, and democracy.
The Prime Minister emphasized that Serbia maintains good cooperation with OSCE institutions, especially with the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR), demonstrating readiness to continuously work on improving the electoral system and the overall electoral environment.
He further stated that, despite the many challenges it faces, the OSCE represents the most significant security platform for dialogue and stands ready to contribute to its revitalization and the strengthening of constructive engagement.
“Macut said that Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija continuously face serious pressure and the denial of basic human rights due to unilateral actions by Pristina, which causes deep concern for Serbia,” the Serbian Government’s statement reads.
European Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos said, speaking at the plenary session of the European Parliament, that Serbian society remains deeply divided even ten months after the protest over the fall of the canopy at the Railway Station in Novi Sad.
He added that Serbia expects the international community and the OSCE to urgently ensure the protection of the individual and collective rights of Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija, in order to prevent further violations and persecution.
According to him, in its relations with neighbors, Serbia has established itself as a responsible, reliable, and predictable partner, committed to resolving outstanding bilateral issues through dialogue – on an equal and principled basis.
Serbia remains deeply committed to the protection and advancement of the rights of national minorities and is continuously working to strengthen the institutional and legal framework in this area.
The Prime Minister also underlined the importance of respecting the principles of territorial integrity and sovereignty, which Serbia consistently highlights in international forums.

The Prime Minister stressed Serbia’s interest in Finland’s education model, proposing that the relevant ministries establish direct cooperation and exchange of experience.
Valtonen, who also serves as Finland’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, stated that her country, as the OSCE Chair, highly values Serbia’s commitment to cooperation with the organization and will continue to support Serbia’s reform processes.
She emphasized that the partnership between Serbia and the OSCE will continue and be further strengthened, with joint efforts focused on improving the rule of law, democracy, and human rights.
