Vucic from Budapest: The Gas Situation Is Becoming More Complicated, but We Will Solve the Problems
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, currently in Budapest, said after a meeting with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán that they had serious and important talks.
"The situation is becoming more complicated regarding our economies and the external influences on them. We also discussed future gas supply and the operations of the oil company MOL. We talked about our bilateral relations and concluded that our relations are at an exceptional level and that we are very loyal friends to each other," said Aleksandar Vucic.
He reminded that "the Energy Council made decisions that are not great."

The Hague convict and former Chief of the General Staff of the Yugoslav Army, Colonel General Nebojsa Pavkovic, has passed away at the age of 79 at the Military Medical Academy (VMA) in Belgrade, confirmed to Newsmax Balkans by senior Socialist Party of Serbia official Nikola Sainovic.
"Now people say, 'Well, we still have a year and a few months,' but what are we supposed to do during that time? We have to build everything — to create a reversible phase toward Hungary so that gas can flow back, not just in the direction of Hungary. Once we do all that, we still don’t know where to get enough gas if it’s not Russian, and even if we manage that, how are we going to pay a 40% higher price?" he added.
Despite these challenges, Vucic said people should not panic.
"We will solve the problems, but it will not be easy," Vucic stated.
