"UEFA has determined the pots for the upcoming edition of the Nations League, a competition in which the ‘Eagles’ will compete among the elite of European football. Serbia will await its opponents from the third pot, which already makes it clear that it cannot be in a group with England, Belgium, and Norway", the FAS statement said.
It is added that Division A, which includes Serbia (having secured survival in a two-legged tie against Austria), consists of the best European national teams - 16 in total - which will be divided into four pots of four teams each at the draw.

Draw in Brussels in February
The Football Association of Serbia reminded that the group draw will be held in Brussels on February 12th , 2026. The top two teams from each group will advance to the knockout stage, while the bottom-placed teams will be relegated to Division B. National teams with the best performance in the Nations League that fail to qualify for the 2028 European Championship will receive places in the playoffs for that tournament.
