Air Serbia Announces Six New Direct Flight Routes in 2026
Air Serbia continues to expand its route network in 2026, introducing six new destinations connecting Belgrade with tourist, business, and adventure hubs around the world.
This time, the national airline is simultaneously announcing both the summer and winter flight schedule, allowing passengers to plan their trips long in advance and have greater flexibility in choosing destinations throughout the year. During the upcoming summer season, Air Serbia will launch three new routes combining leisure, culture, and business opportunities, offering passengers diverse experiences: Santorini in Greece, Baku in Azerbaijan, and Toronto in Canada. Three additional destinations are planned for the winter season, combining sunny getaways, cultural landmarks, and Arctic adventures: Tenerife and Seville in Spain, and Tromsø in Norway. Tickets for the new destinations are on sale starting today.
This selection of destinations reflects Air Serbia’s strategic development and responds to growing passenger interest in diverse tourist and business centres, while simultaneously strengthening Belgrade’s connectivity with key global destinations.

The national carrier’s new destination from 30 April, the Greek island of Santorini, is known for its picturesque white houses, turquoise sea, and distinctive architecture, which continues to inspire travellers around the world, as evidenced by the steadily growing number of tourists who visit this most famous volcanic island of the Cyclades each year.
The first flight on the direct route to Baku, through which Air Serbia expands its presence in the Caucasus region, is scheduled for 3 May and will further contribute to strengthening cultural, tourist, and business ties between Serbia and Azerbaijan.
By introducing a direct route to Toronto starting on 23 May, Air Serbia is expanding its network of destinations in North America. This route provides additional opportunities for both business and leisure travel and is of particular importance for members of our diaspora living in Canada’s largest city.
Autumn will be marked by the launch of a direct service to Seville, the cultural and administrative centre of Andalusia and a city rich in cultural and historical heritage. From 30 September, this city will be easily accessible to travellers combining different types of holidays, from classic seaside breaks to sightseeing. Southern Spain is among Europe’s most popular tourist routes and is attractive both to travellers from Serbia and the region and to passengers who, thanks to Air Serbia’s network, travel via Belgrade to their chosen destinations.
The Executive Board of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) today adopted a decision confirming the successful completion of the second review of the implementation of Serbia’s economic program under the Policy Coordination Instrument (PCI), the National Bank of Serbia (NBS) announced.
European Union member states have postponed the decision to open Cluster 3 (Competitiveness and Inclusive Growth). According to the conclusions of the EU Presidency on enlargement, the Council will return to the issue of opening this cluster in line with the negotiating framework.
Next winter season, passengers of Air Serbia will be able to travel directly from Belgrade to Tenerife, the largest of the Canary Islands, starting on 27 October. Known for its mild climate and a high number of sunny days, the island is a very popular destination, suitable for family travel and longer holidays that combine relaxation and active leisure in a unique Atlantic setting.
The winter destination Tromsø, with the first flight scheduled for 14 December, offers an Arctic adventure for travellers seeking unique experiences that go beyond standard tourist itineraries. Tromsø, known as the “gateway to the Arctic”, is internationally recognised as one of the best places to observe the northern lights, the midnight sun, team sports, and whale-watching cruises.
The introduction of new destinations is aligned with increasingly demanding travel habits and the desire for personalised experiences, allowing passengers to reach popular destinations on direct flights. Such route diversification helps reduce seasonality and improve fleet utilisation, encouraging travel especially during the winter months. Air Serbia’s route network will, for the first time, include Baku, Santorini, Seville, Tenerife, and Tromsø, while the direct route to Toronto is being reintroduced after thirty years, following the last JAT flight between Belgrade and this Canadian city.
