Citizens of Serbia, North Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, and Croatia, who were evacuated from Israel, arrived in Belgrade around two o’clock after midnight on a special Air Serbia flight from Sharm El Sheikh, organized by the Government of Serbia and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
A total of 67 people evacuated from Israel traveled to the Serbian capital on this special flight. The evacuation took place in several stages, beginning with an organized land crossing to the Egyptian border, followed by transport to the airport in the Egyptian resort city of Sharm El Sheikh.
Damjan Jovic, State Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, who traveled to Egypt to coordinate the operation, emphasized that Serbia’s diplomatic and consular missions work around the clock in the interest of its citizens.
