He then visited the village of Kotraza, in the municipality of Lucani, where he spoke with residents about their concerns and promised new job opportunities.

During a meeting with workers at the Milan Blagojevic - Namenska factory in Lucani, Aleksandar Vucic said that the state would allocate €100 million for the development of the factory, emphasizing that it is of strategic importance for Serbia and contributes to preserving peace.

"We want to technologically upgrade the company in order to ensure a quantum leap - faster and more substantial progress in the future. For us, this is a key factory, because everything you do and produce here directly contributes to improving the defense system of the Republic of Serbia and helps us preserve peace," Vucic stated.

The Serbian president also pointed out that the factory’s employees should strive in the future to design and explore ways to technologically advance the company, regardless of whether they currently have sufficient resources to do so.

Pension Increase

Aleksandar Vucic stated that pensions will increase significantly again this year and added that a solution will be found - within the framework of the law - to provide additional support to pensioners with incomes below 45,000 dinars, ensuring greater financial security.

"Pensions will rise again significantly this year, and that is something I guarantee, and I believe it is important. We have one issue that concerns me and that we will resolve this year. I have asked for proposals from the Pension and Disability Insurance Fund to see what solutions they can offer. We must do something for pensioners with the lowest pensions," Vucic said while meeting with pensioners in Sevojno.

He added that his own parents receive relatively high pensions, but that assistance must be directed toward those with lower incomes, as they "can barely make ends meet."

"We Have Reserves for Three Months"

Vucic stated that all fuel storage facilities and reserves in Serbia are "filled to the brim" and that the country has supplies sufficient for three months.

However, he noted that oil prices are currently at their highest level, around $104 per barrel.

"If it goes up to $110–120, to be honest, I don’t know what we would do. The only option would be to distribute oil from reserves at the lowest prices, but who can guarantee that the war will end in two months?" Vucic said during a visit to the Rakovic family in Sevojno near Uzice.

He added that it is fortunate that it is not Friday, when fuel prices are typically adjusted in Serbia, and expressed hope that the war in the Middle East will end as soon as possible.

"We Will Preserve Peace"

Aleksandar Vucic assured citizens that there is no need for concern and guaranteed that peace will be preserved, stressing that this requires both economic and military strength.

During his visit to the Rakovic family in Sevojno near Uzice, he noted that people across Serbia are worried about the possibility of war.

"Wherever I go, people say only one thing: ‘Just let there be peace.’ I guarantee you - we will preserve peace and maintain stability. For that, we must be strong both economically and militarily, but we will preserve peace. We will not attack anyone, and as things stand, neither will they attack us - though I cannot say whether they would want to or not," Vucic said.

Pointing out that hardworking people in Sevojno and the surrounding areas are largely engaged in agriculture, Vucic emphasized that investments in infrastructure projects in this part of the country will continue.

He noted that building a road to Pozega would be of greatest importance to local residents and urged local authorities to install safety barriers along existing local roads in order to improve traffic safety.
