The Bosnia and Herzegovina national football team qualified for the World Cup after defeating Italy in Zenica in the playoff final following a penalty shootout, with an overall score of 5–2 (1–1).
Italy’s footballers will miss the World Cup for the third consecutive time, after 2018 and 2022.
Bosnia and Herzegovina did not sleep last night, as celebrations of the national team’s qualification for this year’s World Cup spilled from the pitch of Celik Stadium in Zenica onto the streets of other cities, with the epicenter in Sarajevo.
Asked whether Expo 2027 is important for Serbia’s path toward EU integration, Mali emphasized that Serbia is committed to the European path.
"We are accelerating reforms in that direction and, as promised, by the end of 2026 we will formally adopt all legislative changes to be fully aligned with EU legislation. When and whether we will become a full member depends on a political decision, but we will do everything on our part to fulfill our obligations and put the ball in someone else’s court", he said.
