"If anyone saves a life, it is as if they have saved all of humanity" - this verse from the Quran guided Misala Rizovic (45) from Novi Pazar when she decided to donate a kidney to Emina Sinanovic (21).

The humanitarian act of the noble woman from Novi Pazar, who lives in the Mur neighborhood, amazed the local community.

Misala believes that this gesture has made her own life more meaningful. In fact, donating a kidney represents the culmination of the humanitarian work she has been engaged in for many years.

Speaking to Newsmax Balkans, she shared the story of how she and Emina, whom she now considers her fourth child, came together.

"I saw on social media that Emina needed help. Last winter, there was a post seeking a kidney donor for a young woman. What followed felt like a movie: I searched for her parents’ contact information, only to discover that we actually knew each other! My mother and Emina’s grandmother are cousins", our interviewee revealed.

At the time, Emina, who lives in Germany, was undergoing dialysis for 12 hours a day.

The transplant was performed at a clinic in Istanbul, but first they had to undergo numerous medical tests. Turkey has strict procedures, so Misala and Emina had to appear before a commission to prove that the case did not involve organ trafficking.

"I didn’t feel even the slightest fear when I entered the operating room. Emina’s words kept echoing in my mind: ‘You are my hope.’ That only strengthened my decision", Misala emphasized.

Misala is the mother of three children, but she now proudly refers to Emina as her third daughter.

"I was ready to stay on that operating table, as long as her youth could continue to live", she said.

Emina Cries Tears of Joy When She Remembers the Struggle

A month has passed since the transplant in Turkey. Misala says she feels well and has experienced no health complications.

"I live exactly the same way I did when I had two kidneys. And Emina has experienced tremendous positive changes", she said with satisfaction.

Emina herself confirmed this. The chronic kidney failure she was diagnosed with three years ago is now behind her, thanks to Misala. During a break from her many obligations, she briefly spoke with us about how she feels after everything she has been through.

"I never lost hope, not for a single moment. But I never expected someone to have such a beautiful, pure, and sincere heart as hers. Misala is beautiful because kindness radiates from her. Every time I think about our meeting and everything we went through together, I cry tears of happiness", Emina told our portal emotionally.

Misala and Emina are now family, perhaps even something more than that.

"She is a part of me, and I am a part of her. When I think about our life story, I often remember a quote from the Quran: Whoever comes with the intention of saving one life is as if they have saved all of humanity. That sentence guided me through everything", our interviewee concluded.

She helps anyone in need, with a particular focus on single mothers.

"People trust us, and we help wherever we can. We also assist elderly people and anyone who is unable to earn a living, who has little income or no income at all", concluded the humanitarian worker from Novi Pazar.
