"The City of Novi Sad has nothing to do with the tragedy that took place at the Railway Station, except for the fact that it is located within the city’s territory. The City has no involvement in the reconstruction, nor did it participate in the work, design, or supervision," Djuric told Newsmax Balkans.

The collapse of the roof canopy at the Railway Station resulted in the death of 15 people, with two others seriously injured.

After the tragedy, activists and opposition parties called for accountability, and protests were initiated.

A vote was held at the Novi Sad Assembly last week regarding the demand for the removal of Milan Djuric.
