President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, met in Belgrade with one of the closest associates of U.S. President Donald Tramp, Rod Blagojevic, to discuss issues of importance for Serbia-U.S. relations.

"A man proudly hailing from Sumadija, who has never forgotten his roots, Rod deeply understands Serbia and is well acquainted with the situation here. I thanked him for his significant efforts in raising awareness among Americans about our country’s position and role in the Balkans and beyond, as this requires great strength and courage," Vucic stated on Instagram.
He emphasized that he had introduced Blagojevic to Serbia’s ambitious plans for further development and that they exchanged views on the vast opportunities that have emerged for strengthening cooperation with the U.S.
"Rod is a true example of a man who wholeheartedly loves both countries, though I have a feeling that after trying our local specialties, he may lean a bit more toward his ancestral side," Vucic added.
