Honorary Consul of Serbia in Israel: Assessment Indicates Abductee Alon Ohel Is in Harsh Conditions
The Honorary Consul of Serbia in Israel, Aleksandar Nikolic, stated that the frequency of alerts in Israel is decreasing and that the overall situation is becoming more stable.
"Not all aspects of daily life have fully returned to normal, particularly the education system, but this is gradually being restored. In other parts of the country, especially where the population is most concentrated — in the Tel Aviv Dan conglomerate and generally in the Tel Aviv districts — life is proceeding normally within the limits of the situation. Activities related to entertainment, recreation, and sports have also resumed," Nikolic said.
Idit Ohel, the mother of Alon, a young man of Serbian descent who was kidnapped by Hamas, said in an interview with Newsmax Balkans that her son is a strong person who will continue to fight for his life, but that it is crucial for him to return home as soon as possible to receive medical care.
Honorary Consul of Serbia in Israel, Aleksandar Nikolic, told Newsmax Balkans that the abducted Alon Ohel (23), a young pianist of Serbian descent from Novi Sad, is expected to be part of the exchange in the second phase of the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas in Gaza.
Nikolic noted that it is estimated that of the 59 remaining kidnapped hostages, 23 are still alive, and that Serbian citizen Alon Ohel is believed to be in extremely harsh conditions.
He concluded that Israel’s participation in the specialized exhibition EXPO 2027 is just one form of cooperation between Serbia and Israel.
