In the Newsmax Balkans program "View of the Week," Bocan Kharchenko emphasized that high-level talks have been held and that experts are currently working on harmonizing the agreement. The ambassador added that the contract foresees the regular delivery of Russian gas to Serbia, which is one of the pillars of economic development and social stability for any country.
“Serbia is supplied via the Turk Stream pipeline. We expect that countries receiving gas through this pipeline will respond to Kyiv’s attempts, which continue to target energy facilities, including parts of the infrastructure vital to the survival of Turk Stream,” said Bocan Kharchenko.
The ambassador emphasized that before reaching a final agreement on the new gas route between the Russian Federation and Serbia, respect for the bilateral relations between the two countries will be taken into account.
The Russian ambassador added that he currently cannot share any further details.
