Serbian Minister of Foreign Affairs Marko Djuric visited the Serbian Pavilion at the international EXPO exhibition in Osaka, which has already been visited by 700,000 people.
At the Belgrade Fair, in Hall 5, the EXPO 2027 Playground has officially opened, a space that depicts the vision of the EXPO 2027 Belgrade exhibition in a special and inspiring way.
Minister of Foreign Affairs Marko Djuric emphasized in talks with the new Head of the Delegation of the European Union to Serbia, Andreas von Beckerath, that relations between Serbia and the EU are one of the pillars of Serbia’s foreign policy.
On that occasion, he stated that participating in the exhibition is not only an opportunity to present and promote Serbian culture, philosophy, and history but also to send a message that Serbia is a country of the future — a country that will host EXPO 2027, open to all visitors who wish to get to know it.
“I consider our participation here in Osaka to be extremely successful and highly significant for promoting our country in the international community. I congratulate everyone who worked on this project, as it is an important step in improving Serbia’s image in the world,” Djuric stated.

The minister emphasized that by visiting the Serbian Pavilion at the exhibition in Osaka, he is concluding his successful visit to Japan, which he described as a “step forward” in relations between the two countries.
“This visit is a prelude to upcoming high-level visits that will take place here in the coming weeks. Considering that we also had meetings this month in Washington with the U.S. Secretary of State, and that we hosted various African and other ministers in Belgrade, I would say that we haven’t slept through this August — we’ve been pushing forward for Serbia with all our strength across all meridians,” Djuric concluded.

The Deputy General Commissioner of Serbia at EXPO in Osaka, Zarko Malinovic, said that for the Japanese, Serbia represents Europe, and that the Serbian Pavilion also serves as a bridge between the two world expos — in Osaka and in Belgrade.
In addition to the exhibition itself, Masaki Tominaga from the Embassy of Serbia in Japan shared that the restaurant in the Serbian Pavilion attracted significant attention from the Japanese public, ranking second-best among all restaurants at the Osaka EXPO.
