Serb List Declares Victory in All 10 Serb-Majority Municipalities in Kosovo Local Elections
The president of the Serb List, Zlatan Elek, announced that the party achieved a convincing victory in nine out of ten municipalities with a Serb majority in Kosovo and Metohija and that the four municipalities north of the Ibar River have been returned to Serb control.
At a press conference, Elek stated that they had won in all ten municipalities.
"What matters most to us is that the four municipalities north of the Ibar have been returned to our citizens", Elek said.
According to KoSSev, based on the current vote-counting results, the Serb List is leading in all ten Kosovo municipalities where Serbs make up the majority of the population.
The party has more than 50 percent of the votes in Leposavic, Zubin Potok, Zvecan, North Mitrovica, Novo Brdo, Strpce, Gracanica, Ranilug, Partes, and somewhat less so in Klokot.
The President of the National Assembly of Serbia, Ana Brnabic, stated that she believes the Russian side will accept one of the proposed solutions regarding NIS during the meeting between Serbian President, Aleksandar Vucic and the Chairman of the Board of Gazprom, Aleksandr Dyukov.
The Central Election Commission (CEC) in Pristina has not accredited a single Serbian-language media outlet to cover the local elections taking place in Kosovo and Metohija on Sunday, October 12.
In Leposavic, by 10 p.m., 28 percent of the votes had been counted, with Zoran Todic leading with 70.30 percent. He is followed by Vladimir Radosavljevic of the Serbian Democracy party with 11.64 percent.
In Zubin Potok, with 66.67 percent of votes counted by 10 p.m., Milos Perovic is in the lead with 81.37 percent. Milija Bisevac follows with 6.35 percent.
In Zvecan, where 90.91 percent of votes have been counted, Dragisa Milovic leads with 86.66 percent, followed by Zoran Obrenovic of the Serbian Democracy party with 8.74 percent.
In North Mitrovica, 45.45 percent of votes have been counted, with Milan Radojevic leading at 58.06 percent. He is followed by Erden Ajeti of the Vetevendosje (Self-Determination) Movement with 12.93 percent.
In Novo Brdo, 82.61 percent of the votes have been counted, with Sasa Milosevic leading at 55.59 percent. He is followed by Bajrus Imeri of the LDK (Democratic League of Kosovo) with almost half as many votes (25.63%).
In Strpce, Ivica Tanasijevic has won 66.41 percent of the votes, with 88.64 percent of ballots counted. In second place is Stefan Stamenkovic from the "Justice and Equality" group with 9.68 percent.
In Gracanica, Novak Zivic leads convincingly with 59.32 percent, with 79.41 percent of votes counted. He is followed by Ljeutrim Ajeti from the Albanian Alliance - a coalition of three united Albanian parties - who has 28.47 percent.
In Ranilug, Tanja Antic holds a strong lead with 74.03 percent, with 50 percent of votes processed. In second place is Ivan Petrovic from the Serbian People’s Movement with 15.95 percent.
In Partes, Dragan Petkovic has so far won 90.50 percent, with 85.71 percent of votes counted.
In Klokot, Bozidar Dejanovic currently leads with 43.26 percent, with 87.50 percent of votes processed. He is followed by Srecko Spasic from the Serbian National Unity party, who has so far received 29 percent.
