General Antonio Stasi Assumes Duty as Head of the NATO Military Liaison Office in Belgrade
Brigadier General Antonio Stasi has assumed the position of Head of the NATO Military Liaison Office in Belgrade, succeeding Brigadier General Pierluigi Lodola.
Upon taking office, General Stasi stated that it was a great honor to be appointed as Head of the NATO Military Liaison Office in Belgrade.
He emphasized that NATO’s partnership with Serbia is based on Serbia’s requests, with the Alliance fully respecting Serbia’s policy of military neutrality.
"Our office has always done everything within its power to facilitate cooperation between the Alliance and Serbia within the framework of the Partnership for Peace program, and today I can reaffirm our firm commitment to further enhancing political dialogue and joint activities with our Serbian partners," said Stasi, who is the 13th Head of the NATO Military Liaison Office in Belgrade.
President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic stated that Serbia lost an investment worth at least 750 million euros due to Jared Kushner’s decision to abandon plans to build a hotel in Belgrade, which he attributed to what he described as the "General Staff campaign".

The outgoing Head of the NATO Military Liaison Office, Italian Brigadier General Lodola, handed over the mission flag to General Stasi and wished him success in his new role.

He also recalled that next year will mark the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the NATO Military Liaison Office in Belgrade.
