Appeal by Serbian List Approved, CEC Ordered to Certify Participation in Elections

"Following Albin Kurti’s and his associates’ attempts to unlawfully prevent the Serbian List’s participation in the February 9, 2025 elections through the Central Election Commission, we inform the public that the appeal submitted by our legal team to the ECAP has been upheld. This confirms our assertion that the Serbian List adhered to all legal electoral procedures and that the effort to exclude the Serbian List from the electoral process was a politically motivated attempt at electoral engineering aimed at favoring Kurti-aligned Serbs, conducted directly under his orders," stated the Serbian List.

They emphasized that the CEC is obligated to comply with the ECAP ruling and certify the Serbian List for election participation.

"The question now is whether the CEC will continue to violate laws and its own regulations under direct political pressure from authorities in Pristina," the Serbian List added.

To recall, the CEC declined to certify the Serbian List on Monday after two members from the ruling Self-Determination party voted against it.
