Macut Presented His Exposé: Find Solutions and Enable Continued Education, I Call for Dialogue

Prime Minister-designate Djuro Macut presented his exposé to the members of parliament, followed by a debate on the new government lineup.

"This current situation poses a direct threat to the survival of our universities, and it must come to an end. This is my personal stance, and I ask for your support to make it the stance of the state from today onward—that the institutions of the system function and that no one has the right to usurp others’ rights for political or any other interests," the prime minister-designate stated.

He added that the state will ensure equal rights for all.

If elected Prime Minister, he says his demand will be that ministers must spend more time among the people and with the people.

Yesterday Macut has submitted his proposal for the composition of the new government to the National Assembly. The proposal includes ten new names, though some familiar faces are also among the ministerial candidates.

By law, the government must be formed by April 18, 30 days after the resignation of former PM Milos Vucevic was acknowledged in parliament. If not, new elections will be called.
