In doing so, we are fulfilling our mission to provide readers and viewers with an alternative source of information, so they can be better informed. People around the world are looking for media they can trust, outlets that do not ignore their concerns or filter reality through a narrow ideological lens. People have not stopped believing in truth and values; they have simply become more skeptical of the institutions that claim to represent them. Newsmax Polska’s task is to rebuild that trust through transparency, faithful reporting of facts, and respect for the intelligence of its audience.

T.J., A.C.: Do you believe in a world order based on morality? What does that mean in practice? As the owner and CEO of Newsmax, do you follow a particular guiding principle that helps you stay the course when the waters become rough?

Christopher Ruddy: At Newsmax, we truly believe in integrity, freedom, and open debate. A “moral world order” is possible if freedom of speech, national sovereignty, and the right to differing opinions are defended.

My advice to the Newsmax Polska team is simple: remain independent, question established views, and do not allow political or corporate pressure to influence your editorial line. In difficult times, your compass should be credibility in the eyes of your viewers and readers.

T.J., A.C.: Journalism has changed significantly in recent years. Is there still room for older, more classical craftsmanship in journalism, the kind associated with Ernest Hemingway’s idea of writing one true sentence, avoiding unnecessary words, and maintaining dignity under pressure?

Christopher Ruddy: Yes, there is still room for that kind of journalism, more than ever. Clear, direct, disciplined writing cuts through the noise. In an era of overload and manipulation, “one true sentence” carries even greater power. We must preserve that clarity and integrity, even in a fast-paced and competitive environment.

T.J., A.C.: In modern journalism, there is an increasingly common view that journalists should not only report events, but also actively shape public opinion by interpreting facts and making moral judgments. In the era of social media, where everyone is visible and has a voice, the question arises: is there still room for journalism in which the journalist remains in the background, focused primarily on facts?

Christopher Ruddy: In my opinion, journalists should not be moral arbiters. Our task is to deliver information and present different perspectives, allowing the audience to draw its own conclusions.

At Newsmax, we emphasize that we believe in fact-based opinions and fact-based journalism. A journalist may have a personal opinion, but it must be clearly identified as such, not presented as information.

T.J., A.C.: In your view, which audience will Newsmax Polska be aimed at within the contemporary Polish media landscape?

Christopher Ruddy: Newsmax has built a reputation as a media outlet that speaks directly, calling things by their proper name. I believe there is a large group of viewers in Poland who want a channel grounded in facts, while also respecting their faith, freedom, and national pride.

At Newsmax, we respect all of these values. I am a practicing Catholic, but we respect all religions. We are all on a journey in search of God, and the media should not make that journey more difficult.

T.J., A.C.: Is there a particular trait of our nation that you value?

Christopher Ruddy: I have long admired Poland, as have many Americans. It is a country with a long history of resisting oppression, while preserving national and religious values. I know many American leaders see Poles as brave and strong people and I share that view.

T.J., A.C.: Finally, could you offer a few words to our readers to help them believe that, in a world of growing disinformation, it is still possible to be trustworthy?

Christopher Ruddy: Trust cannot be declared, it must be earned. At Newsmax, we aim to earn it. To those who have doubts, I simply say: “tune in and see for yourself.”

In a noisy world, credibility is built through daily work focused on informing, not persuading and by allowing the audience to judge us by our actions. As we tell our viewers: “You decide.”
